Dr. Rodolfo C. Nellas, M.D.
Dr. Nellas attended Manila Central University in the Philippines where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and his Doctor of Medicine degree. Upon his move to the United States, Dr. Nellas passed the US Medical Licensing Examination and became a staff physician at the Weston State Hospital in West Virginia. In the years following, he found his passion for psychiatry and completed his psychiatric residency with the University of Michigan at the Ypsilanti Regional Psychiatric Hospital. Over his 40 years of practice, Dr. Nellas has worked in many various fields in psychiatry, such as mental health institutions, the Veteran's Administration Medical Center, correctional facilities, private practice, and hospitals all over the country. He retired as a US Army Major in 1996. Dr. Nellas is a certified Board Diplomat and Credentialed in Psychiatry with the American Association of Psychiatric Medicine. Dr. Nellas is also certified in Suboxone treatment, as well as adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry. Dr. Nellas is happily married to his wife of 37 years with three adult children and the proud owner of a howling rescue beagle named Benedict.
Dr. Nellas sees children, adolescents, and adults ages 6 and up.
Our practice is comprised of a psychiatrist, an oral swab Collection Technician, and a front office Medical Assistant with a wide range of experience and knowledge. Below is a brief description of each of our staff members.
We are committed to helping our clients achieve recovery
Bryan is our collector for the office. We utilize Aegis Sciences Corporation to conduct the swab tests and they are billed through their company. Each test will be billed under each patient's insurance.
Dr. Nellas' Suboxone patients undergo mandatory swab testing as part of the Suboxone treatment program at our office. Other patients who are prescribed controlled substances may also be swabbed to ensure the safety of every patient.
